Welcome to Rooted & Radiant!

My dream for this Christ-focused lifestyle blog stems (pun intended) from my belief that to be rooted in Christ is to be radiant in life.

The inspiration for this belief of mine, and for this blog of mine derives from two of my favorite (and in my opinion, two of the most beautiful) verses in the Bible:

Colossians 2:6-7 says: "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." 

And Psalm 34:5 says: "Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."

Both verses offer clear instruction on how the Lord desires us to live; rooted in His truth so that we can experience the richness of His love, and in turn be a radiant light in a dark and trying world.

 

My goal for Rooted & Radiant is to cultivate a community of ordinary and imperfect individuals like me, who desire to live a life that is inspired by His Truth, and radiant because of it. Here I will keep it real, keep it encouraging, and hopefully keep it interesting. I hope that through this platform you are motivated to pursue a life that is both rooted and radiant.
